about Chloe Charlton

Founder of Bump2BabyFitness

Hi, My name is Chloe and I am the founder behind bump2baby fitness and a mum of 2 little ones.

I have brought together my vast experience as a personal trainer working with mums in various settings such as homes, gyms, sports halls, parks, etc and also with various stages of pregnancy and post-natal recovery to create bump2baby fitness. Our goal is to support as many women as possible in their active pregnancies through training plans, exercise guides and maternity activewear. Bump2baby fitness will also be there as you take the first steps back into fitness after given birth through exercise guides and training plans.

I am a mum of two who completely understands how difficult it is raising children, arranging all their clubs and social engagements plus juggling family and work and social life (what’s a social life??) while trying to find time to fit in exercise into my daily routine – it is a struggle!

I found short effective workouts I could do anywhere at any time were my only fitness solution, and it was from this that I began specialising in training mums-to-be and new mums.

I adore being a mum to Christopher (9) and Katie (7), they are my world and they made my life. I had both of them before reaching 38 weeks. Christopher came early through my waters breaking and was born with the help of forceps and is the cheekiest little boy ever.

Katie had a condition called Vasa Praevia (www.vasapraevia.co.uk) which meant I was not allowed to exercise whilst pregnant, so this pregnancy was very sedentary. Born via c-section she spent some time in the special care baby unit and had to have CPAP, steroids plus antibiotics so I didn’t actually get to ‘meet’ her til she was 1 day old but we have made up for that with a million cuddles since!

Growing up I was always sports mad including football, netball, rugby, athletics, trampolining, etc. As I got older my love of sport turned into a love of fitness and I became a Personal Trainer winning Personal Trainer of the year 2012/2013.

It wasn’t until after having my son (2008) that I started to specialise and grow my experience and qualifications in pre and post-natal training. I have trained and taught pregnant women in Boxercise, Spin, PT, Aqua Aerobics, HIIT, Bootcamp and FitBuggies right up until their due date. Knowing how to safely adapt each and every session was the key to helping them maintain their fitness.

I am a huge goal setter, and I intend to achieve every single one I set. As well as being a mum of 2, running bump2baby fitness and also a childrens sport and dance business, I also teach classes 3 days a week whilst studying 2 distance learning courses. I like to keep busy! Some of my biggest goals I have achieved are:

  • Win a TV game show – The Whole 19 Yards ITV1 – it was full of assault courses, my favourite!
  • Become a Saracens RFU cheerleader – Christopher got to join me on all the press days and publicity shoots which was fantastic!
  • Winning Personal Trainer of the Year 2012/2013 – I was so proud and could not have done it without my amazing clients working hard in each and every session.
  • Completing Tough Mudder – this pushed me to my limit physically, naturally I am a sprinter, not a long distance runner.
  • My next goal is to revolutionise the maternity activewear market with clothing that not only supports you and is practical but makes us feel and look good!
