Coming along to a specialised post-natal fitness class, you’ll be rest assured that your exercise session is both safe and effective (and really good fun too!).
What is FitBuggies?
FitBuggies is a training class designed for post-natal mums. With some great tunes playing (indoor class only and not too loud of course), a safe environment, lots of different resistance equipment and other like-minded mums, you are in safe hands
Where: Jubilee Centre, Catherine Street, St Albans, AL3 5BU. There is no on-site parking however it is extremely close to the town centre and there are lots of multi-storey car parks nearby.
Where: Verulanium Park, St Albans, AL3 4SL – We meet on the grassed area by the Athletics Track. If you drive down and park you get 2 hours FREE parking with a valid parking ticket from the machine.
What can I expect from each session?
Our FitBuggies Classes include aspects of Cardio, Bodyweight, Circuits and Resistance Training designed specifically to safely introduce you back into exercise whilst improving Core Stability, Cardio-Vascular Fitness and all over Strength whilst addressing all of the issues and associated risks that pregnancy and labour can create, and a great opportunity to meet other local mums. Each session is finished with a cool down and stretch out.
Are the sessions suitable for me?
All FitBuggies sessions are designed by pre and post-natal specialists to ensure that each workout delivered can be adapted to the individual needs of the new mum.
Our trainers will asses each individual to ensure that the level they are working at is appropriate for their fitness levels and stage of post-natal recovery. However, we do require all participants to have had their 6/8 week check with their doctor and be cleared for exercise.
What do I need to bring?
Just yourself, suitable clothing/footwear, bottle of water, any type of fitness/yoga mat and anything you thing that will keep your little one happy; toys, milk, blankets, etc.
Do I need to book?
Nope, just turn up with a fitness mat, water bottle and your little one and you are ready to go.
